The two-day festival is here to amp up your weekend with a variety of outdoor games, food and conversation with the likes of world surfing champion Layne Beachley, Olympic gold medalist Kerri Pottharst and indigenous author Paul Callaghan. Plus crispy fried chicken from Butter Donuts and Papi Donuts.
Wynsideout is a new experience aiming to break your regular 9 to 5. Spread over four zones – play, eat, relax and collaborate – the two-day park festival can be held alone, with family, friends or colleagues.
At the core of team spirit (or healthy rivalry) participate in archery, golf simulators, table tennis, corn hole, ring tos and Connect Four in the Play Zone. If you’re feeling on top of your game, grab a table tennis racket and take on Kane Townsend, representative of Commonwealth Games.
In the Relax Zone, you’ll find rejuvenating massages and comfortable hammocks to relax in, as well as the Cuppa Cafe pop-up. The cafe venue will host a series of impactful conversations with speakers including Wiggle Greg Page, seven-time world surfing champion Layne Beachley, Olympic gold medalist Kerri Pottharst, Indigenous author Paul Callaghan, London bombing survivor Gill Hicks and sustainability expert Jo Taranto.
At the Eat Zone, Stitch Bar will be handing out bar snacks, the Butter team will be frying your crispy chicken and Santa Ana will be cooking up Oaxacan Mexican specialties. If you’re craving something sweet, Donut Papi’s donuts and 6-inch Japanese cheesecakes are the answer.
On the songs, you’ll find Aria-nominated singer-songwriter Matt Walker, plus FBI Radio’s DJ Jack Shit releasing commercial house and DJ Klevakutz mixing and scratching with trademark intensity.
