‘Worst part’ of energy crisis is ‘it was totally predictable’

Spectator writer James Macpherson says the “worst part” of Australia’s coal crisis is that it was “entirely predictable”.

“Without sun and wind and deliberate shortages of coal and gas comes low supply and high prices,” he told Sky News presenter Rowan Dean.

“It’s a ridiculous situation, we have Australia with massive amounts of coal, gas and uranium and yet here in Sydney we are being warned of blackouts in the middle of our coldest start to winter in 30 years.”
