UK protesters demand suspension of deportation flight to Rwanda

A London court began on Monday (June 13) to hear the first of two last-minute legal challenges to block the British government’s policy of deporting asylum seekers to Rwanda ahead of the first removal flight scheduled to depart on Tuesday. Friday (June 14th). Protesters outside the Royal Courts of Justice chanted “refugees have the right, here to stay, here to fight” and held up signs that read “deportations are a violation of human rights”.
