Meet other dog owners and support a cause worthy of kittens.

Here are some fun ways to have fun in Vancouver with – or for – your favorite furry friends.

Vancouver Orphan Kitten Rescue helps over 1,400 cats every year. And they need your help! Join the cause by signing up for this weekend’s fun 5km walk on Jericho Beach. Dog owners aren’t intimidated – you and your inmate friend are more than welcome to join the cause. Registration includes a t-shirt and a gift bag.

Paw-ty spring

Visit plant-based dog food brand Virchew HQ in Kitsilano for the Spring Open House. This female-owned brand serves vegan dog meals throughout British Columbia. You won’t go hungry either. Say Hello Sweets, Yumy Candy, My Matcha Life and more plans to serve treats to humans too! There is also the possibility to win two free months of food from Virchew’s Love Bowls.

Cascade Park

In the words of your favorite canine classic, Go Dogs Go, “It’s a dog party!” Bring your pup to the Bentall Center’s Bark Park for rooftop views and cold beers on Saturday, May 28, 1pm-7pm. Located in the heart of downtown, Bark Park features puppy portraits, a live DJ and a North Point Brewing brewery. Not to mention lots of dog lovers!
