With the grueling six-week campaign entering its final stretch, the government has so far failed to lower the Labor Party’s lead in all published opinion polls. Internally, party strategists are getting anxious.
The long campaign was intended to wear down Anthony Albanese. But since he recovered from the first day’s gaffe, the opposition leader seems to have grown in stature.
