“I was a little sister. Big Brothers Big Sisters from West Island found an amazing and tasty way to raise money, amazing mouth watering ribs, amazing atmosphere and everything to help a local nonprofit, what could be best!” observed Wanda, an employee at Traffic Tech.
The 7th annual festival will feature four ribbers, 14 food trucks, 15 vendors from the local market, a children’s area, live music and an esplanade.
The festival is sponsored by Traffic Tech and Flighthub, both long-time donors and supporters of the agency, whose employees volunteer each year.
Funds raised at the festival through the collection of donations, as well as proceeds from merchandise and beverage sales, will go towards the various programs the agency has to offer that enable life-changing mentoring relationships and ignite the potential of West Island youth.
The Ribfest will be held August 12-14, 11am-9pm, in the parking area next to the Pierrefonds-Roxboro neighborhood hall at 13665 Pierrefonds Blvd.
