Six days before the election, the Liberal Party “launched” its campaign in Brisbane, a final opportunity for Scott Morrison, who trails in the polls, to get a much-needed boost.

After a campaign largely fought back attacks on the Labor Party, Morrison tried to defy criticism of his government as being a “light politician” with a set of new ads. Here are some of the key points:

First-time homebuyers will be able to invest up to 40% of their retirement, up to a maximum of $50,000, to help purchase real estate.
