LA turns turquoise for lung cancer awareness

LOS ANGELES (CNS) – Several Los Angeles landmarks and businesses will light their facades in turquoise this week to raise awareness of lung cancer risks and the life-saving benefits of lung cancer screenings.

The effort begins on Sunday and is part of the American Lung Association’s Lung Force campaign.

The following sites are participating:

  • US Bank Tower (May 8)
  • Los Angeles City Hall (May 8-14)
  • Glendale City Hall (8-14 May)
  • TrueCar Building, 3415 S. Sepulveda Blvd. (8th to 14th of May)
  • UCLA Powell Building and Royce Hall (May 8-14)
  • Union Station (May 10th to 12th)

Lung cancer is the leading cancer killer of men and women in the United States, according to the American Lung Association.
