Sky News host Paul Murray says “there’s a philosophical difference” between the two main parties, and their housing policies prove it.
“We have a scenario where you have the offer from Labor, which is ‘we’ll give you 40% to help you cross the line, but we own 40% forever,'” Murray said.
“’If the value of the set goes up, you’ll have to give us 40% of the selling price, which means we’ll make a profit from you,’” he said.
“Against the government saying ‘you can have access to part of your super, you can use that for your housing deposit.’
“And guess what? That’s it, done. You don’t have to pay the government back.”
