Death toll in Afghanistan earthquake rises to over 1,500

The number of victims of the earthquake in Afghanistan, which hit a region of eastern Afghanistan yesterday, rose to more than 1,500 people, and about 2,000 were injured.

And the US Geological Survey indicated that the earthquake’s epicenter was recorded about 44 km southeast of the city of Khost, capital of the eastern province of Khost, Afghanistan, with a magnitude of 6.1 on the Richter scale, which led to the destruction of hundreds of homes, and caused landslides in some areas.
