Coyote attack leads to closure of Fish Creek Park section

Alberta Parks is closing a section of Fish Creek Park due to a coyote attack.

In a notice posted on its website, Alberta Parks says aggressive coyotes attacked a dog and a park user in an area south and west of the Parkland community.

The closure is in effect until further notice. Affects trails and surrounding areas in the park south of Parkland to Fish Creek, from the intersection of Parkside Green SE/Parkside Drive SE to Parkvista Crescent SE

In addition to the closure, Alberta Parks is reminding park users to keep their pets on a leash and within 2 meters at all times, clean their pets and never feed coyotes.
