Bronx armed robbery suspects arrested after leading police in pursuit of Manhattan

NEW YORK — An armed robbery led to a police chase that spanned two neighborhoods on Saturday.

It started at a T-Mobile store in the Mott Haven section of the Bronx and ended up on FDR Drive near 96th Street in Manhattan.

Police say that around 3pm, two men robbed the T-Mobile store at gunpoint.

Investigators say they fled, collided with a police car, abandoned the vehicle at FDR and then fled.

Both were arrested and imprisoned.

A police officer suffered minor injuries to his wrist and hand while arresting one of the suspects.
