Tragedy and Triumph, written by Michael Myerson, is a fascinating book about Olympic Jews over the past 100 years, telling stories of triumph and tragedy.
The sportsmen and women who would have competed in the ill-fated 1936 Berlin Olympics are included and their lives after that event are described. The book is filled with wonderful stories about the athletes and shows the true sporting prowess of Jewish sporting heroes.
The book covers 14 different sports and has been thoroughly researched by the author over many years. This is a book of human stories and it largely dispels the myth that Jews are not good at sports!
Adam Kellerman, a highly successful Paralympic athlete, will officially launch the book on Sydney Jewish Museum on Thursday 30th June at 6pm
