Opposition leader Anthony Albanese says he wants to work with state and territorial governments, accusing Prime Minister Scott Morrison of “always looking for a disagreement”.
“I think Australians are tired of conflict,” Albanese told Sky News Australia.
“My opponent is always looking for an argument, always looking for a disagreement, never looking for a solution.
“I think people are really tired of a government that has ‘marriage union,’ as I call it, looking to put pressure on the opposition rather than legislation.”
