Antony’s agent ‘travels to Eruope’ Man Utd ‘considers’ Oxlade-Chamberlain raid

Morning Man United fans

Manchester United are in talks over a £51m transfer to Ajax winger Antony.

The 22-year-old Brazilian had a productive year under Erik ten Hag at Ajax last season, recording 12 goals and 10 assists in 33 games in all competitions.

According to GOAL, Antony’s agents have flown to Europe to speak with United about a £51 million transfer.

The report indicates that an agreement could be reached in the coming days between the two parties.

Meanwhile, Frenkie de Jong’s agent is expected to speak to Barcelona about his client’s future amidst United’s interest.

Mundo Deportivo reports that De Jong’s representative, Ali Dursun, is due to fly to the Catalan capital in the coming days.

The Spanish newspaper adds that coach Xavi would only agree to the midfielder’s departure if the club signs a worthy replacement.

The Barcelona manager’s preferred choice in this case would be Manchester City star Bernardo Silva.

In other news, Liverpool have agreed on personal terms with Benfica star Darwin Nunez, but Manchester United want to hijack the deal.

Jurgen Klopp is keen to close the £86m deal as he looks for a replacement for Bayern Munich-bound Sadio Mane.

But according to Portuguese reporter Pedro Sepulveda, United are not ready to give up on signing the Uruguayan.

He told Sky Sports on Thursday that the Red Devils bosses are expected to meet with Nunez’s agent, Jorge Mendes.

And finally, United are interested in Leicester’s Wesley Fofana, according to RMC Sport.

The 21-year-old centre-back missed much of the season which ended with an injury.

Rumor has it the Foxes will demand a £68m fee with Chelsea also eyeing the Frenchman.
