World premiere exhibition The Picasso Century has arrived at the NGV. And Broadsheet Access is celebrating with an exclusive after-hours screening on Wednesday, June 29th.
Curated by French art institutions Center Pompidou and the Musée National Picasso-Paris, the exhibition features more than 80 masterpieces by the revolutionary Spanish artist. Through 15 themed sections, travel through different periods of Picasso’s art, including his Blue Period and Cubism. You’ll also find 100 works by Picasso’s contemporaries – many of which are rarely exhibited in Australia – to put Picasso’s extraordinary influence into context.
